POLICY SUMMIT

The Texas Business Leadership Council’s annual Policy Summit is our foremost public-facing event, held at the beginning of each year. It brings together legislators, government staff, partner organizations, stakeholders, and the broader public to engage on policy issues critical to Texas’s long-term economic health. Through a series of panels and discussions featuring elected, appointed, and public officials alongside industry and policy leaders, the event fosters collaboration and informed dialogue. Additionally, every other year, we present the Woody L. Hunt Legislative Leadership Award to two legislators who have made a significant contribution to Texas public policy. Current conversations focus on higher and public education, federal issues impacting the economy, and water infrastructure. Past programs addressed topics such as free trade, immigration, and cybersecurity.
